The Door Is Closing

October 29, 2011 Comments off

For the ministry of Yahweh and Christ, our Grand Creator and Loving Savior, comes the time in which one door closes while another door opens. Established in 2005 and under the guidance of Yahweh’s holy angels for the purpose of bringing Yahweh’s Light of Truth to Mankind in these End Times, we have now completed our work in the 10th month, ten representing Completion, of the year 2011.

The nourishment that has been freely and graciously given by our Creator for this final and pre-Armageddon generation can be found via the many links listed on our website homepage www.LightofLifeMinistry.com, Facebook Page and on each of our blogs. It remains as a guiding light for those who continue to seek Truth so that it might be found. It is all that will be available in these final days prior to the Rapture and then, Armageddon in which Yahweh’s elite holy angelic warriors, the Lions of Zion will invade, execute those of evil mankind that remain and remove all traces of Dawn Lucifer Satan the Devil’s evil imprint upon this world.

For many, the door to deliverance, salvation and eternal life is closing and there will be no other door that then opens for them. May Yahweh and Christ lead you to Truth and may that Truth set you free. In the name of Christ Jesus our loving Savior and vindicator of righteous rule we pray, Amen Father Yahweh.

John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Geologists closely monitoring surge in Arkansas earthquakes

October 29, 2011 Comments off

A battle of enormous conflict between the sons of light and the sons of darkness is being fought under the State of Missouri. It is at the notorious fault line that has caused disastrous upheaval in that State in the past.

The Arkansas Geological Survey says it is stepping up its monitoring of seismic activity in central Arkansas after dozens of small earthquakes in the region. Six minor quakes were recorded Friday near Quitman, the latest of more than 50 temblors in October. The Friday tremors began with a 2.0-magnitude quake around 7:45 a.m. and peaked with a 2.5 quake later in the morning. The shaking follows more than 1,000 earthquakes centered between Guy and Greenbrier from September 2010 to July of this year, when the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission ordered four gas disposal wells shut down and voted to create a large moratorium area in which no future disposal wells could be drilled. Geologists said the activity – which involves injecting pressurized liquid into the ground – was likely contributing to the shaking. The quakes between Guy and Greenbrier tailed off significantly in August, but more quakes began occurring in October closer to Quitman. It sits about 10 miles northeast of Guy. That distance is potentially concerning, warned Scott Ausbrooks, geo-hazards supervisor for the Arkansas Geological Survey. The Quitman quakes are occurring along the same line as the Guy-Greenbrier ones, but there’s a miles-long gap between Guy and Quitman in which no quakes have been recorded. That might suggest that the tension is building, possibly leading up to a larger quake centered on that gap along the fault. A similar-sized gap occurred on the southern end of the Guy-Greenbrier fault and it in February unleashed a 4.7-magnitude quake, the largest of any of the recent tremors. Anytime there is a gap in seismicity along an active fault, it “bears watching,” Ausbrooks said. “I’m not saying that’s what it is,” he said. “I don’t want to scare people and I don’t want to say it’s going to happen. It’s just something we’re looking at.” The 4.7 tremor was felt across Arkansas and in neighboring states, though no injuries or major damage was reported. It and the other hundreds of smaller quakes that rumbled the area helped convince the Oil and Gas Commission to take action. So why is the shaking continuing if the drilling has stopped? Ausbrooks has a few ideas, though he said the phenomenon is still very much under investigation. Officials have already placed one temporary quake-monitoring station near Center Ridge and he said another will likely be placed elsewhere in the region in the next two weeks. “We’re kind of beefing back up because of this renewed seismicity,” he said. Ausbrooks said the shaking could be purely natural. Earthquakes continued for years after drilling ended at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Colorado, where an injection well is thought to have initially triggered seismic activity.  –Arkansas Online/Extinction Protocol

New York gets more than inch of snow in October for the first time EVER

October 29, 2011 Comments off

Daniel 2:21 “He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

1 Peter 1:5 “who are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Something to be revealed – A SALVATION by means of the LOZ.

Matthew 24:22 ” Unless those days were limited, no one would survive. But those days will be limited because of the elect.”

Dictionary: “limited >adjective 1 restricted in size, amount, or extent. 2 not great in ability. 3 (of a monarchy or government) exercised under limitations of power prescribed by a constitution. 4 (Limited) Brit. denoting a limited company.”

The AMOUNT of days are cut short.

If Yahweh did not cut the time short, NO ONE WOULD SURVIVE. Why so? Mankind is a wild card that would destroy itself with no help from anyone. Even Satan, if left alone, could not save mankind from its own self. Mankind’s disposition is destruction. Without Yahweh’s guidance, they would eventually kill themselves. But even so, only a remnant will be harvested from this crop of evil. The rest are doomed to eternal death by the hand of Yahweh.

  • Earliest New York City one-inch snowfall since records began
  • More than 250,000 customers lost power in Pennsylvania and Maryland
  • More than 1,000 flights in or out of America cancelled
  • Experts predict up to 10 inches of snow to fall across North East
  • Only fourth time since Civil War that snow has fallen in NYC in October
  • Snowstorms already hitting Massachusetts and New England
  • Parts of Connecticut could get a foot of snow this weekend

New York has today been hit by more than one inch of snowfall before Halloween for the first time ever – with experts predicting much more on the way.

A classic nor’easter is chugging up the East Coast at an unusually early period and expected to dump up to 10 inches throughout the region.

More than 1.5 million homes have lost power in the storm.

Some places in mid-Atlantic states saw more than half a foot of snow and approximately 250,000 customers lost power in Pennsylvania and Maryland, requiring utility crews from Ohio and Kentucky to fix it.

More than 1,000 flights into or out of the United States were cancelled today, with New York particularly affected. JFK airport had around 230 called off by 5pm local time.

Around 60 million people will experience the rare October snowstorm, which should unleash heavy, wet snow and wind, causing fallen tree branches and potential travel chaos.

This weekend looks set to see huge amounts of sleet and snow covering the North East, invariably causing power outages and travel chaos. Some areas bracing for up to a foot of snow.

By 2pm, 1.3 inches of snow had fallen in Central Park; never before in October has an inch of snow fallen on a given day in New York City, AccuWeather reported.

The website reported that 10 inches in Ogletown, Pennsylvania, 9.5 inches in Frostburg, Maryland, and 8.5 inches in Lost River, West Virginia.

New York has received measurable snow before Halloween only three times since 1869 – and never more than one inch, as happened today.

The heaviest snow, though, is forecast for later in the day on Sunday in the Massachusetts Berkshires, the Litchfield Hills in northwestern Connecticut, southwestern New Hampshire and the southern Green Mountains. – DailyMail

A Nation in Ruins: Obama sets record for number of natural disaster declarations

October 28, 2011 Comments off

Mother is about to bring full rebellion to Satan’s empire. Hard as he is trying to keep peace, he will not be able to halt the people from rebelling against the governments. There is a reason for the job failures and the staggering economy, and the lost homes. All designed to culminate against each government of every nation affected by this curse from Mother.

Malachi 1:4 “Though Edom says: “We have been devastated, but we will rebuild the ruins,” the LORD of Hosts says this: “They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called a wicked country and the people the LORD has cursed forever.”

Satan will bring the nations back up from ruin for a short while, but they will not hold together. During that period of destruction, the people will seek their true benefactor that is opposed to Christ and Mother. The Antichrist will then make his appearance. The people will be awed by Satan’s regained powers and his strength to bring peace to this world of people. But it will not last. Mother will see to that.

Matthew 25:41 “Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!”

From Hurricane Irene, which soaked the entire East Coast in August, to the Midwest tornadoes, which wrought havoc from Wisconsin to Texas, 2011 has seen more billion-dollar natural disasters than any year on record, according to the National Climatic Data Center. And as America’s hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and wildfires set records this year, so too has President Obama in his response to them. During the first 10 months of this year President Obama declared 89 major disasters, more than the record 81 declarations that he made in all of 2010. And Obama has declared more disasters — 229 — in the first three years of his presidency than almost any other president signed in their full four-year terms. Only President George W. Bush declared more, having signed 238 disaster declarations in his second term, from 2005 to 2009. But while the sheer number of bad weather events played a big role in the uptick in presidential disaster declarations, Obama’s record-setting year may have something to do with politics as well. “There’s no question about it that the increase in the number of disaster declarations is outstripping what we would expect to see, given what we observe in terms of weather,” said Robert Hartwig, the president and economist at the Insurance Information Institute. “There’s a lot of political pressure on the president and Congress to show they are responsive to these sorts of disasters that occur.” While the president aimed to authorize swift and sweeping aid to disaster victims, Congress was entrenched in partisan battles over how to foot the bill. When Republicans demanded that additional appropriations for a cash-strapped FEMA  be offset by spending cuts, the government was almost shut down over disaster relief funding. –ABC News

Mitt Romney Embraces Climate Denial: ‘We Don’t Know What’s Causing Climate Change’

October 28, 2011 Comments off

Mother is using this ministry to bring forth Her prophecy. There is a reason people will blaspheme Her. It is this ministry’s duty to drop the spiritual hailstones that are a wake up call. The physical enormous hailstones follow our message to mankind. Mother wants people to know who the calamities have been coming from and who they will continue to come from:

Revelation 16:21 “Enormous hailstones, each weighing about 100 pounds, fell from heaven on the people, and they blasphemed God for the plague of hail because that plague was extremely severe.”

Severity is about to become much worse. Satan is not the cause, and Mother wants everyone to know that it comes directly from Her – The One in control, and the One whom is nature. Then, this will come to pass as well:

Psalm 83:18 “May they know that You alone— whose name is Yahweh—are the Most High over all the earth.”

WASHINGTON — Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy this summer, telling a crowd in Manchester, N.H., that humans are at least somewhat responsible for climate change. Now Think Progress reports he’s reversing his position, arguing “we don’t know what’s causing climate change.”

“My view is that we don’t know what’s causing climate change on this planet,” he said at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. “And the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try to reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us. My view with regards to energy policy is pretty straightforward: I want us to become energy secure and independent of the oil cartels.”

The remarks come in stark contrast to his stated energy policy priorities.

“I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that,” he said at a town hall this June. “It’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors.”

With his fellow GOP presidential contenders engaging in different shades of climate denial, Romney has distanced himself from those remarks. In an Oct. 3 interview with the New Hampshire Union Leader posted online Thursday night, he elaborates on his new position on global warming.

“I say it’s probably happening, all right? I think it’s happening,” he said when questioned about a passage in his 2010 book “No Apology” that deals with climate change.

“You said in June you believe the world is getting warmer and that humans have contributed to that,” noted one reporter, quoting a line that comes directly from his book.

“And continue to the next line after that,” Romney pressed.

“It’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors,” said the reporter.

“I say in the book three things,” said a frustrated Romney. “One, I believe what I said before, I think it’s getting warmer. Two, I believe we contribute to it. And three, I don’t know by how much — a lot or a little. And I am not willing to adopt multitrillion dollar programs to reduce greenhouse gases in America. They don’t call it America warming, they call it global warming.”

As president, Romney added, he would “aggressively develop oil and gas, as well as use our coal resources.” Nuclear too would be a priority, though he said that it would require a long lead time.

“Of course I like the renewable resources, but I’m not in favor of sending checks for half a billion dollars as a venture capitalist to various favored solar companies,” he said, in a conspicuous reference to Solyndra.

Romney’s climate denial puts him in line with most every other contender in the Republican presidential field.

Herman Cain has called the very premise of climate change “a scam,” while former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) has referred to it as nothing more than a “trend,” accusing the left of “taking advantage” of it by creating “a beautifully concocted scheme because they know that the earth is gonna cool and warm.”

Back in 2009, meanwhile, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) argued on the House floor that the very concept of global warming is faulty because “carbon dioxide is a natural byproduct of nature!”

In an August stump speech, Texas Gov. Rick Perry took the skepticism about climate change one step further, telling a New Hampshire business crowd that scientists have cooked up the data on global warming for the cash.

“We’re seeing weekly, or even daily, scientists who are coming forward and questioning the original idea that man-made global warming is what’s causing the climate to change,” Perry said at the time. “Yes, our climates change. They’ve been changing ever since the earth was formed.”

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) has become increasingly skeptical of climate change, calling it “the greatest hoax I think that has been around for many, many years, if not hundreds of years,” in a 2009 interview with Fox News.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) appeared alongside former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in a 2008 ad that urged the country to address climate change, but has since switched to denial.

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman is the only mainstream Republican presidential contender who has been outspoken about the need for climate action, calling Republicans’ failure to address climate change at the national level “immensely frustrating.” Within the GOP presidential field, he’s green advocates’ best hope. – HuffingtonPost

Mounting Crisis: 1/3 of Thailand Now Under Water

October 25, 2011 Comments off

The scorch and flooding policy continues upon the earth and its population. Just as Yahweh flooded the earth in past times, those flood brought renewal as the end result. Now fire will bring renewal. As the remnant are cleansed by fire, so to shall the evil be extinguished.

Psalm 68:33 “to Him who rides in the ancient, highest heavens. Look, He thunders with His powerful voice!”

The thunder you hear in thunder storms, that is Mother’s voice. Since She is nature in the raw, you know when She is angry.

Thailand announced a five-day holiday on Tuesday to give people the chance to escape floods closing in on Bangkok as authorities ordered the evacuation of a housing estate on the outskirts of the city after a protective wall gave way.

The cabinet declared October 27-31 a holiday in Bangkok and 20 provinces affected by the country’s worst flooding in 50 years as weekend high tides in the Gulf of Thailand could complicate efforts to divert water away from the low-lying capital.

The floods have forced the closure of seven industrial estates in Ayutthaya, Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani provinces bordering Bangkok, causing billions of dollars of damage, disrupting supply chains for industry and putting about 650,000 people temporarily out of work.

The cabinet announced a 325 billion baht budget on Tuesday to help rebuild the country, mostly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), small vendors and individuals.

“If they get back to normal quickly, it will help push the economy forward,” Finance Minister Thirachai Phuvanatnaranubala said of the businesses.

The floods have killed at least 366 people since mid-July and disrupted the lives of nearly 2.5 million, with more than 113,000 living in temporary shelters and 720,000 seeking medical attention.

Although authorities are scrambling to pump out water from the Bangkok region, record-high water levels in the Chao Phraya river that winds through the city raise the risk of floods in central Bangkok, especially if heavy rain returns when the tide is high.

Don Muang Airport, Bangkok’s second biggest, said it would temporarily close at 5 p.m. (1000 GMT) on Tuesday as passengers and staff might have problems reaching the terminal because of the flooding. It expected to reopen on November 1.

Airports of Thailand AOT.BK said the main Suvarnabhumi Airport was not affected because it was on higher ground. However, Thai Airways International Pcl THAI.BK, which operates out of Suvarnabhumi, said it may reduce flights because of staffing concerns.

Parts of Don Muang, Lak Si and Sai Mai districts in northern Bangkok have been under water since Saturday and the flood crisis centre in Don Muang may have to relocate.

The centre instructed residents of the Muang Ake housing estate in northern Bangkok to evacuate on Tuesday after a flood protection wall in nearby Pathum Thani province was breached, adding to tension in the capital, where residents have fortified their homes and hoarded food and water.

The Commerce Ministry said on Tuesday it would relax import tariffs and regulation on food, water and some consumer goods in short supply as a result of hoarding.

RISING TIDE

Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra issued a new flood warning late on Monday for Bang Phlad district, west of the Chao Phraya river and closer to Bangkok’s commercial heart.

Bang Phlad is home to department stores, universities and hospitals. Siriraj Hospital, where Thailand’s revered king has been for more than two years, is nearby.

Government spokeswoman Thitima Chaisang said the holiday had been called due to the high tides and to give residents the option of leaving Bangkok. Sukhumbhand said the holiday would allow authorities to handle the crisis better.

Authorities opened most canal gates in Bangkok late last week, a high-risk operation to take pressure off defensive walls in the north and divert water around the east and west of the capital into the sea but raised the chance of inner-city flooding.

At least eight million cubic metres of water is being pumped out daily. The Meteorological Department has forecast scattered showers in the capital on Tuesday and Wednesday after three dry days.

Hundreds of people were evacuated over the weekend as water in Lak Si and Don Muang reached levels as high as two metres (six feet), spilling out of swollen canals and rivers. Several crocodiles have been killed or captured in swamped residential areas of Ayutthaya.

A Bank of Thailand official said no decision had yet been taken on whether commercial banks and financial markets would be closed for the holiday. The central bank’s headquarters is by the Chao Phraya river but it has high walls and there were no signs of flooding there on Tuesday.

At least 227 bank branches have been forced to close by floods, most of them in the provinces north of Bangkok.

The central banks of Japan and Thailand said on Tuesday they were looking at a mechanism to offer funds in baht backed by Japanese government bonds to help affected Japanese firms. The Bank of Thailand also said it was discussing similar plans with other countries. – Reuters

Epic Geomagnetic Storm Erupts

October 25, 2011 Comments off

Psalm 68:2 2 As smoke is blown away, so You blow [them] away. As wax melts before the fire, so the wicked are destroyed before God.

“as wax melts before the fire” – Yahweh’s SCORCH PROPHECY remains in effect through the end time.

Judgment is upon all nations of the earth and Yahweh uses Her arsenal of weapons found in nature, which includes the sun, to bring wrath upon the wicked. “so the wicked are destroyed before God.”

Right this moment, there’s an epic magnetic battle raging above our heads.

On Monday, at around 2 p.m. ET, a coronal mass ejection (CME) slammed into the Earth’s magnetosphere. According to NASA’s Space Weather Laboratory, the conditions were just right for the CME’s magnetic field to compress the Earth’s magnetosphere so much that, for a short time (between 3:06 p.m and 3:11 p.m. ET), energetic solar wind particles penetrated as deep as geosynchronous orbit — home to hundreds of communication satellites.

Although the interactions between solar plasma and Earth’s magnetic field are often invisible, tonight is an exception. Vast aurorae are rippling through the atmosphere at very low latitudes.

At time of writing, the US was being given a dazzling show as Spaceweather.com reports:

Northern Lights have spilled across the Canadian border into the contiguous USA. Sighting reports have come from as far south as Arkansas, Wisconsin, Michigan, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, Kentucky, Indiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Maryland, New York, Ohio and central California.

Yes, central California! To see some of the auroral displays, the Universe Today has a few reader’s photos featured. My personal favorite is an earlier photograph taken in Norway. – DiscoveryNews

They’re back and scientists aren’t exactly sure why: Red night aurora burst over U.S. skies

A coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth on Oct. 24th at approximately 1800 UT (2:00 pm EDT). The impact strongly compressed Earth’s magnetic field, directly exposing geosynchronous satellites to solar wind plasma, and sparked an intense geomagnetic storm. As night fell over North America, auroras spilled across the Canadian border into the contiguous United States. Indeed, the display spread all the way down to Arkansas. “When I saw the alert, I ran outside and immediately saw red auroras,” reports Brian Emfinger from the city of Ozark. “Within a few minutes the auroras went crazy! Unbelievable!” Auroras were seen or photographed in more than half of all US states including Alabama, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, Maryland, New York, Montana, Ohio, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Washington, Minnesota, Maine, Michigan, Oregon, Arkansas and California. Many observers, especially in the deep south, commented on the pure red color of the lights they saw. These rare all-red auroras sometimes appear during intense geomagnetic storms. They occur some 300 to 500 km above Earth’s surface and are not yet fully understood. The storm is subsiding now. Nevertheless, high-latitude sky watchers should remain alert for auroras as Earth’s magnetic field continues to reverberate from the CME impact. –Space Weather

Earthquake hits Turkey, up to 1,000 possibly killed

October 23, 2011 Comments off

Yahweh, our God and Creator pours out His wrath upon mankind leading up to Armageddon which will coincide with a great worldwide earthquake. It is His will that you all know exactly where it is coming from. She will literally and figuratively “rock the earth off its foundation”.

“There will be no peace on Earth until My Son’s Kingdom. I will crush every kingdom now standing and rock the earth off its foundation. I Yahweh will destroy every enemy to My throne, and who can stop Me? Who can turn back My anger? No one.” – Yahweh

Matthew 10:34 “Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”

Exodus 15:3 “The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is His name.”

(Reuters) – A powerful earthquake which shook southeast Turkey on Sunday may have killed up to a 1,000 people as it triggered the collapse of dozens of buildings across the region, media reported the Kandilli Observatory as saying.

Emergency workers battled to rescue people trapped in buildings in the city of Van and surrounding districts on the banks of Lake Van, near Turkey’s border with Iran.

Some 10 buildings collapsed in Van city and about 25-30 buildings were brought to the ground in the nearby district of Ercis, Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay told reporters.

“We estimate around 1,000 buildings are damaged and our estimate is for hundreds of lives lost. It could be 500 or 1,000,” Kandilli Observatory general manager Mustafa Erdik told a news conference.

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan was traveling to Van and the cabinet was expected to discuss the quake at a meeting called for Monday morning.

“A lot of buildings collapsed, many people were killed, but we don’t know the number. We are waiting for emergency help, it’s very urgent,” Zulfukar Arapoglu, the mayor of Ercis, told news broadcaster NTV.

Cihan news agency said 30 had been killed in Ercis district.

“We need tents urgently and rescue teams. We don’t have any ambulances, and we only have one hospital. We have many killed and injured,” he said.

Turkey’s Red Crescent said one of its local teams was helping to rescue people from a student residence in Ercis. It said it was sending tents, blankets and food to the region.

More than 20 aftershocks shook the area, further unsettling residents who ran out on the streets when the initial strong quake struck. Television pictures showed rooms shaking and furniture falling to the ground as people ran from one building.

Dozens of emergency workers and locals crawled over a multi-storey building in Van as they searched for any people trapped in side.

Elsewhere, vehicles lay crushed by falling masonry in the street while dazed-looking people wandered past.

Some 50 injured people had been taken to hospital in Van, state-run Anatolian news agency reported, but it did not give details on how serious their injuries were.

The Kandilli Observatory, which initially cited a magnitude of 6.6, said the earthquake struck at 1041 GMT (6:41 a.m. EDT) and was 5 km (3 miles) deep. The U.S. Geological Survey earlier reported that the magnitude was 7.6.

Turkish media said phone lines and electricity had been cut off. The quake’s epicentre was at the village of Tabanli, 20 km north of Van city, Kandilli said.

In Hakkari, about 100 km (60 miles) south of Van, a building could be felt swaying for about 10 seconds during the quake but there was no immediate sign of casualties or damage in the town, about two and a half hours drive through the mountains from Van.

Major geological fault lines cross Turkey and small earthquakes are a near daily occurrence. Two large quakes in 1999 killed more than 20,000 people in northwest Turkey.

Two people were killed and 79 injured in May when an earthquake shook Simav in northwest Turkey. – Reuters

Earth Is Burning: NASA Releases Global Fire Map, Visual Tour Of Planet In Flames

October 23, 2011 Comments off

Yahweh’s SCORCH PROPHECY remains in effect through the end time. At the close of Armageddon, Yahweh will cleanse this planet – burst this planet with solar radiated heat and completely obliterate all carcasses and remove the footprint of Satan. Anything living that might escape our swords will be melted away, even if they have hidden beneath the earth’s crust. The earth is to later be renewed by Yahweh. The remnant will be placed back upon this planet. A new creation will take place as the animal kingdom is replenished.

Fire observations from around the world taken over nearly 10 years are shown in this visualization of NASA satellite data.

NASA has released a series of new satellite data visualizations that show tens of millions of fires detected worldwide from space since 2002. The visualizations show fire observations made by the MODerate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer, or MODIS, instruments onboard NASA’s Terra and Aqua satellites.

NASA maintains a comprehensive research program using satellites, aircraft and ground resources to observe and analyze fires around the world. The research helps scientists understand how fire affects our environment on local, regional and global scales.

Each of these fire maps accumulates the locations of the fires detected by MODIS on board the Terra and Aqua satellites over a 10-day period. Each colored dot indicates a location where MODIS detected at least one fire during the compositing period. Color ranges from red where the fire count is low to yellow where number of fires is large. The compositing periods are referenced by their start and end dates (julian day). The duration of each compositing period was set to 10 days. Compositing periods are reset every year to make year-to-year comparisons straightforward. The first compositing period of each year starts on January 1. The last compositing period of each year includes a few days from the next year.

“What you see here is a very good representation of the satellite data scientists use to understand the global distribution of fires and to determine where and how fire distribution is responding to climate change and population growth,” said Chris Justice of the University of Maryland, College Park, a scientist who leads NASA’s effort to use MODIS data to study the world’s fires.

One of the new visualizations takes viewers on a narrated global tour of fires detected between July 2002 and July 2011. The fire data is combined with satellite views of vegetation and snow cover to show how fires relate to seasonal changes. The Terra and Aqua satellites were launched in 1999 and 2002, respectively.

NASA image courtesy Jeff Schmaltz, MODIS Rapid Response Team at NASA GSFC. Caption by Holli Riebeek.

The tour begins by showing extensive grassland fires spreading across interior Australia and the eucalyptus forests in the northwestern and eastern part of the continent. The tour then shifts to Asia where large numbers of agricultural fires are visible first in China in June 2004, then across a huge swath of Europe and western Russia in August. It then moves across India and Southeast Asia, through the early part of 2005. The tour continues across Africa, South America, and concludes in North America.

Multiple fires burned in northern India near the Pakistan border in early October, 2011, as the end of the monsoon season brought drier conditions that prompted farmers in the region to begin to clear land for the dry season crops. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this true-color image on October 15, 2011 as it passed overhead.

The global fire data show that Africa has more abundant burning than any other continent. MODIS observations have shown that some 70 percent of the world’s fires occur in Africa. During a fairly average burning season from July through September 2006, the visualizations show a huge outbreak of savanna fires in Central Africa driven mainly by agricultural activities, but also driven by lightning strikes. -EUTimes.net

Thailand Prime Mininister assumes emergency powers as scope of flooding disaster widens

October 21, 2011 Comments off

The scorch and flooding policy continues upon the earth and its population. Just as Yahweh flooded the earth in past times, those flood brought renewal as the end result. Now fire will bring renewal. As the remnant are cleansed by fire, so to shall the evil be extinguished.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday assumed powers under the natural disaster law giving her full authority to implement a nationwide disaster relief plan. Invoking the provisions of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Act (2007) gives the prime minister full authority over state officials around the country. Those who refuse to follow orders can be prosecuted for negligence of duty. The prime minister becomes director of the relief operation. Ms Yingluck said the move was necessary to streamline relief operations. She has ordered the Defence Ministry and the army to oversee and protect key places including the Grand Palace, other palaces, Siriraj Hospital, flood barrier lines, utilities providers, and Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports. The government has struggled to channel the massive amount of water that has caused widespread flooding in the country’s Central Plains, around the outskirts of Bangkok. The floods are the worst in at least five decades. It was expected the flood would starting flowing into the Bangkok city area overnight. The government is struggling to channel as much the water as possible out to the sea through the sacrificed eastern and western outskirts of the capital. Meanwhile efforts were under way to protect the Lat Krabang industrial estate after the Bangkradi industrial state in Pathum Thani was totally flooded today, with reports the water was about two metres deep. –Bangkok Post

A city under threat: Millions of nervous Bangkok residents were warned Friday to move their belongings to safety as the kingdom’s worst floods in decades began pouring into the northern outskirts of the sprawling city. In a desperate attempt to drain the mass of muddy water, the authorities have opened all of Bangkok’s sluice gates to allow the floods to flow through canals and rivers in the low-lying capital and into the Gulf of Thailand. The move should ease pressure on vulnerable flood barriers on the northern edge of the city of 12 million people, but increases the threat to Bangkok itself, where some outlying residential areas were inundated on Friday. People were advised to move their possessions to higher floors or safe areas after the government admitted the sea of water bearing down on the capital from the central plains was unstoppable. “I ask all Bangkok residents to move your belongings to higher ground as a precaution, but they should not panic. It’s preparation,” said Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, who has described the crisis as “overwhelming.” Three months of heavy monsoon rains have killed at least 342 people in Thailand and damaged the homes and livelihoods of millions of others, mostly in the north and centre. Tens of thousands of people have been forced to seek refuge in shelters, including 33-year-old Nonglak Yodnankham who fled the approaching water in Pathumthani province just north of Bangkok. -TD

Unexplained tremors rattling homes in Eastern India

October 21, 2011 Comments off

The earth is about to become barren as Yahweh prepares it for a complete change after the great earthquake. All of Satan’s footprint will be decimated and removed.

The actions of the LOZ in weather related damages, the earthquakes and all else they are presently engaged in, it will eventually run into trillions of dollars in damages and untold loss of lives. Then you have the USA’s failing infrastructure that needs renewal BILLIONS – The war expense – BILLIONS, and the present state of the economy spells OBLIVION!

Mild tremors, lasting two to three seconds, enough to result in the walls of a few houses developing cracks, occurred in over ten villages and Girijan areas of Piyepalli mandal, about 100 km from here, in the small hours of Thursday. The villages are surrounded by hills. The Puttangandi irrigation project, which is also a source of drinking water, is nearby. Several residents of Vaddipatla, Puttangandi , Duggyala and thandas of Nakkalapenta, Chintala, Palugu told The Hindu that upon hearing thunder-like sounds (‘urumulu’) at around 00.20 hours, they rushed out of their houses and took shelter in the open ground abutting their dwellings. They did not sleep and waited in bated breath outside. Some said they felt giddy. Walls of some houses like that of Koppula Bikshamaiah and Lakshamamma of Vaddipatla developed cracks, as also those of Lakpathi Naik, S. Naik and Somla of Puttangandi thanda. There are about 120 houses in Puttangandi of which over 20 developed cracks. –The Hindu

Solar Flares 2012 : Is It The Sun’s Final Assault on Earth?

October 17, 2011 Comments off

At the close of Armageddon, Yahweh will cleanse this planet – burst this planet with solar radiated heat and completely obliterate all carcasses and remove the footprint of Satan. Anything living that might escape our swords will be melted away, even if they have hidden beneath the earth’s crust.

The earth is to later be renewed by Yahweh. The remnant will be placed back upon this planet. A new creation will take place as the animal kingdom is replenished.

Everything will line up in the heavens for the coming events that are destined to take place. The SUN typifies the SON in relation to becoming center stage in the final conclusion of this old wicked world.

Solar Flares and 2012 are both hot topics among many people at the moment. Everyone wants to know if the Mayan Calendar, which predicts the end of the world as we know it on December 21, 2012, is accurate or not. Not to promote fear and panic, but it appears as though it could be.

NASA has been reporting for months that the solar flares of 2012 will be the worst that Earth has ever seen. A strong X class flare could easily wipe out all telecommunications across the us or globally for months or even years. Will this be something that we see in the next calendar year?

According to Richard Fisher, who is the director of the Heliophysics division at NASA, scientists need to learn more to protect all of Earth’s inhabitants from certain doom.

“Obviously, the sun is Earth’s life blood,” he said. “To mitigate possible public safety issues, it is vital that we better understand extreme space weather events caused by the sun’s activity.”

Those few words say a lot about how interested NASA is in the coming solar flares. Of course, they wouldn’t tell us if 2012 was in fact the end of the world for fear of creating mass panic. Can you imagine if they announced it? People would start looting, killing and not caring one bit about anyone or anything. It would be absolute chaos and many would die. So, it’s probably best to keep it a secret, even though it’s pretty obvious that something big is brewing for 2012 — and not just according to the Mayan Calendar.

Though the Mayan’s predicted something happening in 2012 thousands of years ago, NASA is also predicting something big themselves for the coming year.

“We’re entering Solar Cycle 24. For reasons not fully understood, CMEs in even-numbered solar cycles (like 24) tend to hit Earth with a leading edge that is magnetized north. Such a CME (coronal mass ejection) should open a breach and load the magnetosphere with plasma just before the storm gets underway. It’s the perfect sequence for a really big event,” said Jimmy Raeder, a NASA researcher.

With all of the hype of the Mayan Calendar and now NASA’s new information, do you believe the Earth will be hit by a massive solar flare in 2012? If so, are you ready to withstand the aftermath? – TechnologyGather.com

Return of the Iceland ash cloud? Fears grow of Katla volcanic eruption

October 14, 2011 Comments off

Psalm 68:33 “to Him who rides in the ancient, highest heavens. Look, He thunders with His powerful voice!”

The thunder you hear in thunder storms, that is Mother’s voice. Since She is nature in the raw, you know when She is angry.

Psalm 68:2 2 As smoke is blown away, so You blow [them] away. As wax melts before the fire, so the wicked are destroyed before God.

Like WAX that melts – Yahweh’s SCORCH PROPHECY remains in effect through the end time. ” but the rebellious live in a scorched land.”

Look around you. What is progressively happening to this planet?

Earthquake activity registered near the volcano meaning an eruption could be imminent, experts say.

An Icelandic volcano that could have a more devastating impact than the one that paralysed air traffic last year may erupt at any moment, experts have warned.

Seismologists are nervously watching rumblings beneath Katla, a volcano on the southern edge of the north Atlantic island nation, which could mean an eruption is imminent.

Katla is a much bigger volcano than nearby Eyjafjallajokul, the 2010 eruption of which cost airlines £1.27billion after ash grounded flights across Europe.

Named after an evil troll, Katla has a larger magma chamber than Eyjafjallajokul’s. Its last major eruption in 1918 continued more than a month, turning day into night, starving crops of sunlight and killing off some livestock.

The eruption melted some of the ice-sheet covering Katla, flooding surrounding farmlands with a torrent of water that some accounts have said measured as wide as the Amazon.

Now, clusters of small earthquakes are being detected around Katla, which means an eruption could be imminent, seismologists say.

Worryingly, earthquakes have been growing in strength: after a long period of magnitude three tremors, a magnitude four quake was detected last week.

‘It is definitely showing signs of restlessness,’ said Piall Einarsson, a professor of geophysics at the University of Iceland, who added that the Eyjafjallajokul was ‘small’, despite its impact.

Teams of seismologists and geologists at the university are now working with disaster officials to prepare nearby communities like Vik, a small town of some 300 people that is flanked by black sand beaches.

Disaster officials have drafted an evacuation plan and set aside temporary housing, but many fear they may have less than an hour to evacuate once the volcano erupts. – Mail Online

16 Killed As Tropical Depression Hits Guatemala

Isaiah 28:18 “Your deal with Death will be dissolved, and your agreement with Sheol will not last. When the overwhelming scourge passes through, you will be trampled.”

Father is the deal breaker of Satan’s workings by the one that She trusts the most.

Isaiah 28:2 “Look, the Lord has a strong and mighty one like a devastating hail storm, like a storm with strong flooding waters. He will bring it across the land with [His] hand.”

Michael the Archangel using his power to overcome Father’s adversaries. Michael is the chess piece that faces off with Father’s Chief Adversary.

At least sixteen people were killed on Wednesday when torrential rains from a tropical depression hit several regions of Guatemala, officials said. The death toll is expected to rise.

Tropical Depression 12-E formed near the Mexico-Guatemala border on early Wednesday morning, about 150 miles (240 kilometers) southeast of Salina Cruz in Mexico, triggering Guatemala’s National Disaster Reduction Coordination Center to activate a nationwide red alert.

The heavy rainfall began on Tuesday night and continued into Wednesday, causing landslides, overflowing rivers, and accidents. The depression is expected to weaken and dissipate on Wednesday evening, forecasters said, but the harsh weather is expected to continue into Thursday.

Among the 16 confirmed deaths in Guatemala, four were electrocuted and one was buried in the municipality of Almolonga in the Quetzaltenango department. Several others died after their homes collapsed, while rescue workers recovered a couple of bodies from a river in Chiquimulilla, a municipality in the Santa Rosa department.

The most affected regions include Quetzaltenango, Santa Rosa, Jutiapa, and Totonicapan, as well as other scattered areas in the country. More than 130,000 people in Guatemala have been affected by the severe weather, but there were no immediate reports of casualties from Mexico. – IrishWeatherOnline

Canary Islands residents evacuated amid fears of seabed volcano eruption

October 12, 2011 Comments off

“Be prepared for the worst that nature has to offer.”

Our God, Yahweh, IS nature. So when it is said that these are “natural occurrences” they are both right and wrong. Right in that yes, they are natural occurrences, but wrong in that they are nothing but the evolving process of the planet we live on.

Ecclesiastes 2:14 The wise man has eyes in his head, but the fool walks in darkness. Yet I also knew that one fate comes to them both.

It is foolish behavior to deny, ignore or dismiss the warnings that come from Yahweh, who disciplines His children and righteously judges them as well. It is equally foolish to deny, ignore or dismiss our Creator, Yahweh, whom we depend upon for our very lives. To do so, is to walk in darkness.

The regional government of the Canary Islands has begun evacuating the small town of La Restinga, on the island of El Hierro, and raised its earthquake warning level amid evidence that a volcano is erupting deep on the nearby seabed.

Approximately 600 inhabitants of the fishing port on the island’s south coast were being told to congregate at a local sports field for evacuation on Tuesday.

Scientists have reported that a volcanic eruption is taking place about 5km (3.1 miles) off the coast at a depth of 600 (1,960ft) to 1,000 metres.

The only visible evidence of the eruption is reported to be dead fish that have floated to the surface. The fish had probably been killed by gas escaping from the volcano, scientists said.

After months of continuous earth tremors on the island, vulcanologists had said there was a reasonable chance of an eruption somewhere near or under El Hierro.

That eruption seems to have started on Monday, pushing hot lava and gases up through the seabed.

With the eruption deep down and several miles away under the sea, the danger to local people and tourists who travel to La Restinga for the diving was considered to be minimal – but authorities today decided to carry out their evacuation plans in case that changed.

The decision was made “due to the possibility that the centre of the eruption might move closer to the coast,” the Canary Islands government said in a statement.

Regional government safety chief Juan Manuel Santana told reporters on Tuesday that raising the alert level from yellow to red – the second and third steps of a four-step system – was also a preventative measure. – The Guardian

Subsea Volcanic Eruption Underway Near El Hierro (The Canary Islands)

October 10, 2011 Comments off

Those that perished at the great flood drowned, but this time, it is going to be a burn off for those left behind. After the nations are crushed, Yahweh is going to make certain nothing and no one survives.

The earth is about to become barren as Yahweh prepares it for a complete change after the great earthquake. All of Satan’s footprint will be decimated and removed.

A submarine volcanic eruption is taking place approximately 5 kilometres off the southern coast of El Hierro, the smallest of The Canary Islands.

The Mayor of La Frontera (El Hierro), David Cabrera, confirmed in an interview on Radio iron Garoé that ‘underwater eruption’ is taking place about 900 metres beneath the sea surface five kilometres south of La Restinga. The eruption has been ongoing for four hours, the Mayor said.

Spanish newspaper laopionion.es quoted the Minister of emergencies of the Cabildo of El Hierro, Maria of Carmen Morales, as saying the eruption is taking place because ‘the seismic movement of 4.3 occurred on Saturday afternoon caused a fissure, from where the energy is been released’. Scientists remain unclear if the emissions are gas or lava.

A meeting of PEVOLCA – Actualidad Volcánica de Canarias, comprising representatives of Instituto Geografico Nacional (IGN) and The Canary Islands Government, took place on the Spanish Island. In a statement issued shortly before 4 p.m. local time, the IGN stated (translated from spanish language press release): “…although there is no certainty that at the moment is producing an underwater volcanic eruption, since the last morning there has been a release of fluids and volcanic gas on the southern coast of the island.”

“Scientists from IGN have reported to the direction of the Plan all the indicators that have been analyzed to point towards the possibility of the beginning of an eruptive process that has changed the type of waves that have registered seismographs in the last hours, implying the beginning of emission of gases or lava…”

“The helicopter of the emergency and rescue of the Government of the Canary Islands (GES) group has done reconnaissance flights during the morning without exit of volcanic material to the surface.”

“Although this activity is not exposed to, the direction of the PEVOLCA encourages people to perform their usual tasks normally and to remain attentive to any unusual activity”, the statement added.

Meanwhile, La Agencia Estatal (CSIC) scientists equipped with special detection cameras have been making numerous sorties over coastal areas of El Hierro in an attempt to verify the existence and scale of the underwater eruption. This is Spain’s first volcanic eruption since 1971 when the erupted of the Teneguía volcano  on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands), located to the north of El Hierro.

Initial reports of the eruption were received from crews on board four separate ships. On Monday afternoon, Terra Noticias/Agencia EFE reported that an eruption occurred 2000 metres below sea level in the Las Calmas sea at 10.43 local time (05:43 EDT).  Spanish newspaper El Mundo placed the depth of the eruption at 13oo metres.

The eruption takes place amidst an unprecedented earthquake swarm in El Hierro. The number of earthquakes recorded since July 17, 2011 on El Hierro has now exceeded 10,000. - Irish Weather Online

Fukushima survives huge aftershock

Originally shared by this ministry in July & August 2011: The Japanese government wishes to keep the truth from their people just as Satan wishes to keep the truth from mankind, but we declare it here loudly and freely, sharing truth with those who seek it.

Japan will soon be faced with an insurmountably wave of people that are suffering from radiation sickness. They were chosen as a doomed example for the rest of the world to look upon and ponder their own eventual fates.

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake has hit Japan’s Fukushima area, but officials say the region’s crippled nuclear plant remains stable.

The offshore quake struck today at 11.45am (1345 AEDT) off Fukushima prefecture in the country’s north, at a depth of 30.2km, the US Geological Survey said.

A tsunami was not expected, the Japan Meteorological Agency said, while there were no reports of damage.

Nuclear plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) said that the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant remained stable.

“We are not seeing any new abnormality” at the facility, where work is ongoing to bring reactors to a cold shutdown by the end of this year, a TEPCO spokesman said.

Skyscrapers in Tokyo, some 245km away, were slightly rocked by the tremor.

A 9.0-magnitude earthquake on March 11 triggered a monster tsunami which killed some 20,000 people and crippled the cooling systems at Fukushima, causing meltdowns in some of its reactors.

Radiation leaked into the air, soil and sea around the plant, forcing tens of thousands of people to evacuate their homes.

Hundreds of powerful aftershocks have shaken the region since the March quake. – The Australian

Army Intelligence: East Coast Tsunami Imminent

October 9, 2011 Comments off

Could it happen? Time will tell. We’ve been warned to be prepared for the worst nature has to offer, not only from the sea and beneath this planet’s surface, but also from the unexpected that lies just ahead.

Jeremiah 15:8 “I made their widows more numerous than the sand of the seas. I brought against the mother of young men a destroyer at noon. I suddenly released on her agitation and terrors.”

Here is an intelligence report of an imminent East Coast tsunami. Please scroll down to this radio broadcast of September, 30th, Hour 3, and listen to the first few minutes; then please return to the next paragraph below, for the rest of the tsunami story:

Geologists agree that if the Cumbre Vieja volcano erupts, its resulting landslide will surely generate a tsunami that will kill many millions of people along the East Coast of the Americas, from Canada, down through the United States, the Caribbean Islands, and down through Central and South America. BBC-TV Documentary Clip: Geologists warn of East Coast Tsunami:

John Moore’s source from U.S. Northern Command, Denver, Colorado tells him that there is very frenzied activity there, including that of food storage. Recall that Pres. Obama was there
just a few days ago. It appears that he may be preparing to go underground in response to N.A.S.A.’s observations of comets and asteroids in an approaching bee swarm.

New And Ongoing World Volcanic Activity – El Hierro, Anak Krakatau, Shiveluch, Mount Etna

October 9, 2011 1 comment

Isaiah 24:1 [ The Earth Judged ] Look, the LORD is stripping the earth bare and making it desolate. He will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants:

This happens with tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes to name only a few of natures arsenal being used. Much more is on the horizon. Prepare for the coming rapture.

This week’s Weekly Volcanic Activity Report, a cooperative project between the Smithsonian’s Global Volcanism Program and the US Geological Survey’s Volcano Hazards Program, features information on the continuing volcanic activity on El Hierro in the Canary Islands (Spain).

Other active volcanoes featured this week include Krakatau in Indonesia, Puyehue-Cordón Caulle in Chile, Nabro in Eritrea, Shiveluch in Russia, Mount Etna in Italy, Santa Maria in Guatemala, and Rincón de la Vieja in Costa Rica.

This information page is broken into two categories, namely “New Activity/Unrest” and “Ongoing Activity”. Many of the updates link to additional coverage on the iWeather Online website.

Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN) reported a drastic increase in the seismic activity at Hierro during 27 September-3 October, with more than 1,100 new seismic events detected, 83 of them felt by residents, with a maximum intensity value of IV using EMS-98 (European Macroseismic Scale). Most of the hypocenters were located offshore, SW of the island, at around 14 km depth. The maximum magnitude recorded during this week was 3.8. The total number of located events had reached more than 9,300 since the anomalous activity began on 16 July. The superficial deformation measured by the GPS network had reached 35 mm.

Geologic Summary. The triangular island of Hierro is the SW-most and least studied of the Canary Islands. The massive Hierro shield volcano is truncated by a large NW-facing escarpment formed as a result of gravitational collapse of El Golfo volcano about 130,000 years ago. The steep-sided 1500-m-high scarp towers above a low lava platform bordering 12-km-wide El Golfo Bay, and three other large submarine landslide deposits occur to the SW and SE. Three prominent rifts oriented NW, NE, and south at 120 degree angles form prominent topographic ridges. The subaerial portion of the volcano consists of flat-lying Quaternary basaltic and trachybasaltic lava flows and tuffs capped by numerous young cinder cones and lava flows. Holocene cones and flows are found both on the outer flanks and in the El Golfo depression. Hierro contains the greatest concentration of young vents in the Canary Islands. Uncertainty surrounds the report of an historical eruption in 1793.

CVGHM reported that seismicity from Anak Krakatau in 2011, as late as 10 July, consisted of 20-30 volcanic-earthquake events per day and shallow events ranged from 120 to 135 events per day. Hundreds of events per day were detected during swarms. On 10 July, the seismic equipment was damaged by Krakatau’s activity but was again operational in mid-September. During 18-30 September seismic events reached 4-5 events per minute. Visual observations in 2011 until 13 September indicated occasional explosive eruptions that would eject material and produce ash plumes. During 14-30 September fumarolic activity from the crater and in the fumarolic fields was visible. The Alert Level was increased to 3 (on a scale of 1-4) on 30 September based on an increase in seismic activity and widespread fumarolic activity.

Geologic Summary. Renowned Krakatau volcano lies in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra. Collapse of the ancestral Krakatau edifice, perhaps in 416 AD, resulted in a 7-km-wide caldera. Remnants of this volcano formed Verlaten and Lang Islands; subsequently Rakata, Danan and Perbuwatan volcanoes were formed, coalescing to create the pre-1883 Krakatau Island. Caldera collapse during the catastrophic 1883 eruption destroyed Danan and Perbuwatan volcanoes, and left only a remnant of Rakata volcano. The post-collapse cone of Anak Krakatau (Child of Krakatau), constructed within the 1883 caldera at a point between the former cones of Danan and Perbuwatan, has been the site of frequent eruptions since 1927.

NABRO Eritrea; summit elev. 2218 m

Heat from vents in Nabro’s central crater is visible as a red glow in this NASA MODIS image acquired on September 28, 2011.

Heat from vents in Nabro’s central crater is visible as a red glow in this NASA MODIS image acquired on September 28, 2011.

According to NASA’s Earth Observatory, satellite images of Nabro acquired on 28 September showed heat from the vent in the central crater, and from an area 1.3 km S of the vent that indicated an active lava flow. A small and diffuse plume rose from the vent. A region of seemingly thicker black ash (that completely covered the sparse vegetation) was noted S of the crater and thinner layers of ash (with some areas of visible vegetation) flanked either side of the region.

Geologic Summary. The 2218-m-high Nabro stratovolcano is the highest volcano in the Danakil depression of northern Ethiopia and Eritrea. Located at the SE end of the Danakil Alps, Nabro lies in the Danakil horst. Nabro is the most prominent and NE-most of three volcanoes with large summit calderas aligned in a NE-SW direction SW of Dubbi volcano. These three volcanoes, along with Sork Ale volcano, collectively comprise the Bidu volcanic complex. The complex Nabro stratovolcano is truncated by nested calderas, 8 and 5 km in diameter. The larger caldera is widely breached to the SW. Nabro was constructed primarily of trachytic lava flows and pyroclastics. Post-caldera rhyolitic obsidian domes and basaltic lava flows were erupted inside the caldera and on its flanks. Some very recent lava flows were erupted from NNW-trending fissures transverse to the trend of the Nabro volcanic range.

RINCON DE LA VIEJA; Costa Rica, summit elev. 1916 m

Rincón de la Vieja volcano. Image cyph3r

On 30 September, OVSICORI-UNA reported phreatic eruptions from Rincón de la Vieja’s active crater during the previous six weeks. A well-documented event on 16 September ejected sediment that covered sections of the upper N walls. Some of the material was washed down the flanks and caused changes in water quality along the main creeks and major rivers up to 18 km away from the source. The death of several fish species was noted the next day and sediment deposits 10-15 cm deep were sampled 2 km N of the active crater. Scientists conducting fieldwork during 27-29 September observed that the hot lake was convecting and grayish in color due to the suspended sediments. Preliminary deformation and temperature measurements did not indicate any significant changes.

Geologic Summary. Rincón de la Vieja, the largest volcano in NW Costa Rica, is a remote volcanic complex in the Guanacaste Range. The volcano consists of an elongated, arcuate NW-SE-trending ridge that was constructed within the 15-km-wide early Pleistocene Guachipelín caldera, whose rim is exposed on the south side. Rincón de la Vieja, sometimes known as the “Colossus of Guanacaste,” has an estimated volume of 130 cu km and contains at least 9 major eruptive centers. Activity has migrated to the SE, where the youngest-looking craters are located. The twin cone of 1916-m-high Santa María volcano, the highest peak of the Rincón complex, is located at the eastern end of a smaller, 5-km-wide caldera and has a 500-m-wide crater. A plinian eruption producing the 0.25 cu km Río Blanca tephra about 3500 years ago was the last major magmatic eruption from the volcano. All subsequent eruptions, including numerous historical eruptions possibly dating back to the 16th century, have been from the prominent crater containing a 500-m-wide acid lake (known as the Active Crater) located ENE of Von Seebach crater.

KVERT reported that seismic activity at Shiveluch was moderate during 23-30 September, and indicated that possible ash plumes rose to an altitude of 4.6 km (15,100 ft) a.s.l. during 23 and 26-27 September. Ground-based observers noted that ash plumes rose to altitudes of 5.5 and 4.5 km (18,000 and 14,800 ft) a.s.l. on 23 and 27 September, respectively. Ash plumes observed in satellite imagery during 23-24 September drifted 45 km E. Seismicity increased on 3 October. Ash plumes rose to altitudes of 6-9 km (19,700-29,500 ft) a.s.l. during 3-5 October. Ground-based observers noted on 5 October a brightly incandescent lava dome, which was also detected as a large and bright thermal anomaly in satellite imagery. The Aviation Color Code was raised to Red.

Geologic Summary. The high, isolated massif of Shiveluch volcano (also spelled Sheveluch) rises above the lowlands NNE of the Kliuchevskaya volcano group and forms one of Kamchatka’s largest and most active volcanoes. The currently active Molodoy Shiveluch lava-dome complex was constructed during the Holocene within a large breached caldera formed by collapse of the massive late-Pleistocene Strary Shiveluch volcano. At least 60 large eruptions of Shiveluch have occurred during the Holocene, making it the most vigorous andesitic volcano of the Kuril-Kamchatka arc. Frequent collapses of lava-dome complexes, most recently in 1964, have produced large debris avalanches whose deposits cover much of the floor of the breached caldera. Intermittent explosive eruptions began in the 1990s from a new lava dome that began growing in 1980. The largest historical eruptions from Shiveluch occurred in 1854 and 1964.

VILLARRICA Central Chile; summit elev. 2847 m

Volcán Villarrica

Volcán Villarrica

According to Projecto Observación Visual Volcán Villarrica (POVI), an image from 17 September showed the inner SSW wall of the crater covered with snow and ice, and a thin layer of ash. A rapid rise in the level of the lava lake (in a pit about 40 m wide) on 19 September caused much of the snow and ice to melt, especially on the southern inner wall. Strombolian explosions from the crater were observed on 26 September, and tephra deposits on the E edge of the crater were noted. On 27 September incandescence from the lava lake were reflected in the cloud cover above.

Geologic Summary. Villarrica, one of Chile’s most active volcanoes, rises above the lake and town of the same name. It is the westernmost of three large stratovolcanoes that trend perpendicular to the Andean chain. A 6-km wide caldera formed during the late Pleistocene, more than 0.9 million years ago. A 2-km-wide postglacial caldera is located at the base of the presently active, dominantly basaltic-to-andesitic cone at the NW margin of the Pleistocene caldera. About 25 scoria cones dot Villarrica’s flanks. Plinian eruptions and pyroclastic flows have been produced during the Holocene from this dominantly basaltic volcano, but historical eruptions have consisted largely of mild-to-moderate explosive activity with occasional lava effusion. Lahars from the glacier-covered volcano have damaged towns on its flanks.

Ongoing Activity

AVO reported that during 27-28 September and 30 September-1 October thermal anomalies over Cleveland’s summit lava dome were detected in satellite images and suggested that the lava dome continued to slowly grow. Clouds obscured views on 29 September and during 2-3 October. Elevated surface temperatures were detected by satellite in partly cloudy images acquired during 3-4 October. The Volcano Alert Level remained at Watch and the Aviation Color Code remained at Orange. No current seismic information was available because Cleveland does not have a real-time seismic network.

Geologic Summary. Symmetrical Mount Cleveland stratovolcano is situated at the western end of the uninhabited dumbbell-shaped Chuginadak Island in the east-central Aleutians. The 1,730-m-high stratovolcano is the highest of the Islands of Four Mountains group and is one of the most active in the Aleutians. Numerous large lava flows descend its flanks. It is possible that some 18th to 19th century eruptions attributed to Carlisle (a volcano located across the Carlisle Pass Strait to the NW) should be ascribed to Cleveland. In 1944 Cleveland produced the only known fatality from an Aleutian eruption. Recent eruptions from Mt. Cleveland have been characterized by short-lived explosive ash emissions, at times accompanied by lava fountaining and lava flows down the flanks.

ETNA Sicily (Italy); summit elev. 3330 m

Mount Etna erupts for the fifteenth time this year on 28 September

Mount Etna erupts for the fifteenth time this year on 28 September

Sezione di Catania – Osservatorio Etneo reported that the fifteenth paroxysmal eruptive episode of 2011 took place at the New SE Crater of Etna during the evening of 28 September. That morning, noises originated from the New SE Crater. At 1600 volcanic tremor amplitude started to increase, and rhythmic ash emissions that rose from a vent located within the crater were occasionally accompanied by small Strombolian explosions. Starting at 1930 Strombolian activity progressively increased both in the intensity and frequency of explosions, and eventually became continuous. Bombs and scoria were ejected well beyond the crater rim. A small amount of lava flowed through the notch in the SE flank of the volcano at 2115 and was soon followed by explosions from a vent within the same area. The Strombolian activity waned for a few minutes then rapidly increased, forming a sustained lava fountain that rose as high as 800 m. At 2133 and 2134 two powerful explosions originating from a vent on the E rim of the crater created shock waves visible in the clouds above the crater and ejected large bombs hundreds of meters away. Lava fountains 100-150 m high commenced from a vent on the N base of the New SE Crater cone at 2136. The vent emitted a small lava flow soon after. At 2155 activity from all vents decreased, and between 2205 and 2210 all explosive activity ceased. Lava continued to flow until 2330.

The lava flow emitted from the SE flank of the cone reached the lower portion of the W slope of the Valle del Bove, somewhat SW of Monte Centenari. Ash plumes drifted SW and light ashfall occurred on the S flank of Etna, including in the towns of Nicolosi (14 km S) and Catania (27 km S).

Geologic Summary. Mount Etna, towering above Catania, Sicily’s second largest city, has one of the world’s longest documented records of historical volcanism, dating back to 1500 BC. Historical lava flows cover much of the surface of this massive basaltic stratovolcano, the highest and most voluminous in Italy. Two styles of eruptive activity typically occur at Etna. Persistent explosive eruptions, sometimes with minor lava emissions, take place from one or more of the three prominent summit craters, the Central Crater, NE Crater, and SE Crater. Flank eruptions, typically with higher effusion rates, occur less frequently and originate from fissures that open progressively downward from near the summit. A period of more intense intermittent explosive eruptions from Etna’s summit craters began in 1995. The active volcano is monitored by the Instituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Volcanologia (INGV) in Catania.

KVERT reported that seismic activity continued at a moderate level at Karymsky during 23-30 September and indicated that possible ash plumes rose to an altitude of 4.5 km (14,800 ft) a.s.l. Satellite imagery showed a thermal anomaly on the volcano on 24 September and ash plumes that drifted 80 km SE during 28-29 September. The Aviation Color Code remained at Orange.

Geologic Summary. Karymsky, the most active volcano of Kamchatka’s eastern volcanic zone, is a symmetrical stratovolcano constructed within a 5-km-wide caldera that formed about 7,600-7,700 radiocarbon years ago. Construction of the Karymsky stratovolcano began about 2,000 years later. The latest eruptive period began about 500 years ago, following a 2,300-year quiescence. Much of the cone is mantled by lava flows less than 200 years old. Historical eruptions have been Vulcanian or Vulcanian-Strombolian with moderate explosive activity and occasional lava flows from the summit crater. Most seismicity preceding Karymsky eruptions has originated beneath Akademia Nauk caldera, which is located immediately S of Karymsky volcano and erupted simultaneously with Karymsky in 1996.

KILAUEA Hawaii (USA); summit elev. 1222 m

MODIS image of Kilauea

MODIS image of Kilauea

During 28 September-4 October, HVO reported that the lava lake circulated and periodically rose and fell in the deep pit within Kilauea’s Halema’uma’u crater. Almost daily measurements indicated that the gas plume from the vent continued to deposit variable amounts of ash and occasionally fresh spatter nearby.

At the E rift zone, the fissure that formed on 21 September on the upper E flank of Pu’u ‘O’o continued to feed lava flows on 28 September that traveled along the edges of a low lava ridge. Most of the active lava spread out at higher elevations S and W of Pu’u Halulu (1.3 km NE of Pu’u ‘O’o). Lava activity resumed from two sources on the E edge of the Pu’u ‘O’o Crater floor and continued to spread W within the crater. During an overflight on 29 September, geologists observed that the fissure fed scattered active lava flows within 1.8 km on the SE flank of the cone. During 2-3 October lava from the E-crater floor source covered the crater floor. On 4 October active lava was confined to a small lake on the E side of the crater floor.

Geologic Summary. Kilauea, one of five coalescing volcanoes that comprise the island of Hawaii, is one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Eruptions at Kilauea originate primarily from the summit caldera or along one of the lengthy E and SW rift zones that extend from the caldera to the sea. About 90% of the surface of Kilauea is formed of lava flows less than about 1,100 years old; 70% of the volcano’s surface is younger than 600 years. A long-term eruption from the East rift zone that began in 1983 has produced lava flows covering more than 100 sq km, destroying nearly 200 houses and adding new coastline to the island.

KVERT reported that during 23-30 September seismicity at Kizimen remained high with 1,200-1,600 earthquakes recorded daily. A large thermal anomaly on the volcano was detected daily in satellite images. A large lava flow on the NE flank continued to effuse and strong fumarolic activity was observed. The Aviation Color Code remained at Orange.

Geologic Summary. Kizimen is an isolated, conical stratovolcano that is morphologically similar to Mount St. Helens prior to its 1980 eruption. The summit of Kizimen consists of overlapping lava domes, and blocky lava flows descend the flanks of the volcano, which is the westernmost of a volcanic chain north of Kronotsky volcano. The 2,376-m-high Kizimen was formed during four eruptive cycles beginning about 12,000 years ago and lasting 2,000-3,500 years. The largest eruptions took place about 10,000 and 8300-8400 years ago, and three periods of longterm lava-dome growth have occurred. The latest eruptive cycle began about 3,000 years ago with a large explosion and was followed by lava-dome growth lasting intermittently about 1,000 years. An explosive eruption about 1,100 years ago produced a lateral blast and created a 1.0 x 0.7 km wide crater breached to the NE, inside which a small lava dome (the fourth at Kizimen) has grown. A single explosive eruption, during 1927-28, has been recorded in historical time.

Based on seismicity during 28 September-4 October, OVDAS-SERNAGEOMIN reported that the eruption from the Cordón Caulle rift zone, part of the Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcanic complex, continued at a low level. Plumes visible in satellite images drifted 30-300 km NW, NE, E, and SE during 28 September-3 October. Plumes were also observed with an area camera to rise as high as 4 km during 30 September-4 October. The Alert Level remained at Red.

Geologic Summary. The Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcanic complex (PCCVC) is a large NW-SE-trending late-Pleistocene to Holocene basaltic-to-rhyolitic transverse volcanic chain SE of Lago Ranco. The 1799-m-high Pleistocene Cordillera Nevada caldera lies at the NW end, separated from Puyehue stratovolcano at the SE end by the Cordón Caulle fissure complex. The Pleistocene Mencheca volcano with Holocene flank cones lies NE of Puyehue. The basaltic-to-rhyolitic Puyehue volcano is the most geochemically diverse of the PCCVC. The flat-topped, 2236-m-high Puyehue volcano was constructed above a 5-km-wide caldera and is capped by a 2.4-km-wide summit caldera of Holocene age. Lava flows and domes of mostly rhyolitic composition are found on the eastern flank of Puyehue. Historical eruptions originally attributed to Puyehue, including major eruptions in 1921-22 and 1960, are now known to be from the Cordón Caulle rift zone. The Cordón Caulle geothermal area, occupying a 6 x 13 km wide volcano-tectonic depression, is the largest active geothermal area of the southern Andes volcanic zone.

SAKURA-JIMA Kyushu; summit elev. 1117 m

Based on information from JMA, the Tokyo VAAC reported that during 28 September-3 October explosions from Sakura-jima produced plumes that rose to altitudes of 1.8-3 km (6,000-10,000 ft) a.s.l. and drifted in multiple directions. On 30 September and during 1-2 October pilots observed ash plumes that rose to altitudes of 1.5-3 km (5,000-10,000 ft) a.s.l. and mostly drifted NE, E, and ESE.

Geologic Summary. Sakura-jima, one of Japan’s most active volcanoes, is a post-caldera cone of the Aira caldera at the northern half of Kagoshima Bay. Eruption of the voluminous Ito pyroclastic flow was associated with the formation of the 17 x 23-km-wide Aira caldera about 22,000 years ago. The construction of Sakura-jima began about 13,000 years ago and built an island that was finally joined to the Osumi Peninsula during the major explosive and effusive eruption of 1914. Activity at the Kita-dake summit cone ended about 4,850 years ago, after which eruptions took place at Minami-dake. Frequent historical eruptions, recorded since the 8th century, have deposited ash on Kagoshima, one of Kyushu’s largest cities, located across Kagoshima Bay only 8 km from the summit. The largest historical eruption took place during 1471-76.

SANTA MARIA Guatemala; summit elev. 3772 m

INSIVUMEH reported that on 29 September a lahar 28 m wide and 2 m deep traveled down Santa María’s Rio Nima II drainage, carrying 2-m-wide blocks and tree branches. During 29-30 September and 3-4 October explosions from the Santiaguito lava dome complex produced gray ash plumes that rose 1 km above the crater and drifted 15 km E and SW. Avalanches from the lava-flow fronts descended the flanks. During 3-4 October avalanches from the lava dome occasionally generated pyroclastic flows; lava flows were active on the SW and SE flanks.

Geologic Summary. Symmetrical, forest-covered Santa María volcano is one of a chain of large stratovolcanoes that rises dramatically above the Pacific coastal plain of Guatemala. The stratovolcano has a sharp-topped, conical profile that is cut on the SW flank by a large, 1-km-wide crater, which formed during a catastrophic eruption in 1902 and extends from just below the summit to the lower flank. The renowned Plinian eruption of 1902 followed a long repose period and devastated much of SW Guatemala. The large dacitic Santiaguito lava-dome complex has been growing at the base of the 1902 crater since 1922. Compound dome growth at Santiaguito has occurred episodically from four westward-younging vents, accompanied by almost continuous minor explosions and periodic lava extrusion, larger explosions, pyroclastic flows, and lahars.

2011: A record breaking year for disaster

October 8, 2011 1 comment

Keep in mind that the spiritual war is fought on two fronts.

1. It is a spiritual battle that involves weather and other related phenomena to cause destruction and widespread desolation.

2. It is fought by using mankind as its own worst enemy.

Mankind has helped to bring much of the disasters now happening. Father is simply helping things progress much more quickly. The bowls of wrath are tribulation (i.e., a state of great trouble or suffering.) It is not intended to serve as a like scenario of the global flood by causing total destruction. That comes with the cup of wrath. The cup is poured out upon the earth just as the rains were at the great flood. At this time, people are experiencing great trouble and are suffering from the bowls of wrath that are given as a sign that the Great Tribulation has arrived. Read Revelation.

There things occur but the masses are not repentant. Father is revealing Her great power over nature and Her intervention into world governments affairs, but only those that are perceptive are aware of what’s happening. Each move on the chess board in the tribulation period is designed to fulfill the prophecies Father inspired to the writers of the Word long ago.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - September’s T.S. Lee was just another reminder that Louisiana is one of the nation’s true ‘hot spots’ when it comes to tropical landfalls. In addition, Lee is just another example of a long list of weather events making 2011 an extraordinary year for extreme weather over the United States.

A recent report by the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.) notes that by the end of September, the U.S. had already broken the record number of federal disaster declarations issued in a single year. The 86 federal disaster declarations through the first nine months of 2011 tops the previous annual record of 81, which was set just last year. In addition, the estimated price tag of nearly $25 billion through September places 2011 among the five or six costliest years on record in terms of insurance claims.

By comparison, for the 15 years from 1996 through 2010, there were an average of 58 such declarations per year, and only three years — 1996, 2008 and 2010 — had 75 or more declarations. Some of the increase since the mid 1990s can be attributed to a greater willingness on the fed’s part to issue declarations, but certainly Mother Nature has been extra busy in recent years.

Not only has 2011 been extraordinarily active in terms of the number of weather-related disasters, but the U.S. has suffered through a full array of extreme weather events this year.

A powerful winter storm over much of the central and eastern U.S. at the end of January began the run of extremes, followed by one of the deadliest and most active “tornado seasons” on record for the nation as a whole. Spring and summer Ohio and Mississippi river flooding added to the burden, while one of the most devastating droughts on record persists across the Southern Plains, extending into western and northern Louisiana. The Southern U.S. drought has not only been devastating for the region’s agriculture, but it also has spawned record and near-record wildfire frequencies.

(It is worth noting that the 2011 drought over the Southern U.S. can be traced back to its beginnings over northern Louisiana in the spring of 2010. Critical drought conditions over the Southern Plains did not develop until six months later.)

And more recently, August’s Hurricane Irene — with her track from the Carolinas into New England — wreaked havoc through the nation’s most densely populated corridor.

All of these extreme events come at a time when Congress is debating how to continue FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), a program of critical importance to many flood-prone Louisiana residents.

Without doubt, Louisiana is too often a target of Mother Nature’s wrath, ranking sixth in the nation based on the numbers of federal declarations by state since 1953. Of these top six states, all five of the states with more declarations are larger in size and only Oklahoma has a smaller statewide population. And keep in mind that these account for only major federal declarations and do not include additional state disaster declarations that do not qualify for federal response.

It comes as no surprise that tropical weather is a big reason for the high number of federal declarations for the Bayou State, and historically, tropical systems have been responsible for most of the state’s costliest weather disasters. But many underestimate the role of non-tropical weather, accounting for roughly two-thirds of Louisiana’s federal declarations since the program began (in 1953). Indeed, winter/spring storms account for more than half of the total federal declarations issued for Sportsman’s Paradise. Even during the last 20 years, when Louisiana has suffered a marked increase in tropical weather impacts, Louisiana has been included in more federal declarations for non-tropical weather events than for tropical storms and hurricanes.

Annual tropical activity over the Atlantic Basin has been above the long-term average routinely since the mid 1990s, and a consensus outlook by hurricane experts indicates that this elevated activity is likely to continue for at least another decade or more. The impact of this recent upswing in storm counts for Louisiana has been obvious: more than a doubling of the average number of tropical impacts per decade for Louisiana during 2001-2010. At the same time, many from within climate-science circles believe that we should prepare for more frequent occurrences of all types of weather and climatic extremes in the coming decades, largely due to the theories behind (rapid) climate change.

No doubt, Louisiana not only needs to remain extra-ready for another decade of all-too-frequent tropical ‘hits,’ but should brace for the potential of increased severe weather year-round! – WAFB

Astrophysics and Extinctions: News About Planet-Threatening Events

Luke 17:26-30 “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the Day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

“Christ was revealing that just as they took no note worthy view of the warnings back in those days of judgment, neither will they do so in these last days of this age. The end will come as a thief in the night to them because they will not heed the healthful urgency of what is about to happen. I know from my own personal experience with Noah that he was laughed and scoffed at like he was a simple minded idiot for even suggesting that the earth could be flooded. You will also be treated in a like fashion by the majority. But fear of dying at Armageddon will not be enough to save a person. They must be sincere in why they seek Father. Otherwise, Christ will still bar them from the kindness of Salvation. He is permitted to judge their true heart conditions.” Commander Jaddai, Cherubic Order of Holy Angels

ScienceDaily (Oct. 7, 2011) — Space is a violent place. If a star explodes or black holes collide anywhere in our part of the Milky Way, they’d give off colossal blasts of lethal gamma-rays, X-rays and cosmic rays and it’s perfectly reasonable to expect Earth to be bathed in them. A new study of such events has yielded some new information about the potential effects of what are called “short-hard” interstellar radiation events.

Several studies in the past have demonstrated how longer high-energy radiation bursts, such as those caused by supernovae, and extreme solar flares can deplete stratospheric ozone, allowing the most powerful and damaging forms of ultraviolet radiation to penetrate to Earth’s surface. The probability of an event intense enough to disrupt life on the land or in the oceans becomes large, if considered on geological timescales. So getting a handle on the rates and intensities of such events is important for efforts to connect them to extinctions in the fossil record.

“We find that a kind of gamma ray burst — a short gamma ray burst — is probably more significant than a longer gamma ray burst,” said astrophysicist Brian Thomas of Washburn University. Improved and accumulated data collected by the SWIFT satellite, which catches gamma ray bursts in action in other galaxies, is providing a better case for the power and threat of the short bursts to life on Earth.

The shorter bursts are really short: less than one second long. They are thought to be caused by the collision of two neutron stars or maybe even colliding black holes. No one is certain which. What is clear is that they are incredibly powerful events.

“The duration is not as important as the amount of radiation,” said Thomas. If such a burst were to happen inside the Milky Way, it its effects would be much longer lasting to Earth’s surface and oceans.

“What I focused on was the longer term effects,” said Thomas. The first effect is to deplete the ozone layer by knocking free oxygen and nitrogen atoms so they can recombine into ozone-destroying nitrous oxides. These long-lived molecules keep destroying ozone until they rain out. “So we see a big impact on the ozone layer.”

Those effects are likely to have been devastating for many forms of life on the surface — including terrestrial and marine plants which are the foundation of the food web.

Based on what is seen among other galaxies, these short bursts, it seems that they occur in any given galaxy at a rate of about once per 100 million years. If that is correct, then it’s very likely that Earth has been exposed to such events scores of times over its history. The question is whether they left a calling card in the sky or Earth’s geological record. – ScienceDaily

Hunger crisis grips North Korea as food runs short

October 7, 2011 1 comment

Satan receives a symbolic last hour to make his stand. That hour began when the LOZ arrived to bring great tribulation with the bowls of anger. Satan is resisting making his stand, but he will be forced to follow through. Due to the earth’s circumstances, food will become scarce, and you will not be able to purchase anything without his mark. But that mark will not doom you – only your heart condition can do that.

HAEJU, North Korea — In a pediatric hospital in North Korea’s most productive farming province, children lay two to a bed. All showed signs of severe malnutrition: skin infections, patchy hair, listless apathy.

“Their mothers have to bring them here on bicycles,” said duty doctor Jang Kum Son in the Yellow Sea port city of Haeju. “We used to have an ambulance but it’s completely broken down. One mother traveled 72 kilometers (45 miles). By the time they get here, it’s often too late.”

It’s also getting late for North Korea to get the massive amount of food aid it claims to need before the harsh winter sets in. The country’s dysfunctional food-distribution system, rising global commodities prices and sanctions imposed over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs had contributed to what appears to be a hunger crisis in the North, even before devastating summer floods and typhoons compounded the emergency.

The regime’s appeals for massive food aid have gone mostly unanswered by a skeptical international community. Only 30 percent of a United Nations food aid target for North Korea has been met so far. The United States and South Korea, the two biggest donors before sanctions, have said they won’t resume aid until they are satisfied the military-led communist regime won’t divert the aid for its own uses and progress is made on disarmament talks.

South Korea also says the North is exaggerating the severity of its food crisis. Visiting scholars, tourists and charity workers have sent out conflicting views about it.

The U.N.’s Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), for instance, said last month after visiting the North that “the damage was not so significant.” Another U.N. body, the World Food Programme, which has a regular presence in the North, warned in March of growing hunger. The sharp divergence of views is one reason why the U.N.’s emergency relief coordinator will visit this month to assess the situation.

North Korea’s Economy and Trade Information Center, part of the foreign trade ministry, invited Alertnet to see the extent of the crisis on a rare reporting trip to its rice bowl in South Hwanghae province in the southwest.

Alertnet, a humanitarian news service run by the Thomson Reuters Foundation which covers crises worldwide, saw evidence of alarming malnutrition and damaged crops, but also signs of some promise for the coming rice harvest.

Although tightly controlled by government officials, an Alertnet reporter and Reuters photographers and video journalists were able to conduct a week-long trip into the South Hwanghae region. The visit included rare access to collective farms, orphanages, hospitals, rural clinics, schools and nurseries.

The regime’s motive in granting the access appears to be to amplify its food-aid appeals. North Korean officials at first asked Alertnet to reach out to its subscriber base to mobilize help–and at one point asked the Thomson Reuters Foundation for a donation. Alertnet declined, saying all it could do is visit and report on the situation. – MSNBC

Federal Officials Join in Investigation into Mysterious Seal Deaths

Jeremiah 12:4 “How long will the land mourn and the grass of every field wither? Because of the evil of its residents, animals and birds have been swept away, for [the people] have said, “He cannot see what our end will be.”

Father is permitting much of Her animal Kingdom to die off here in these last days of this old system of things; and those animals are blameless in Father’s eyes; they just got caught up in Dawn’s misdealings that have led to dire consequences for every one and everything on this dying planet; is the Earth dying? YES it is; but Father won’t let it happen, and is why She’s intervened against Mankind’s harsh treatment of Her property’ Father is altering the Earth as I write this; She is also letting things get worse as far as Mankind goes, but will pull the Earth back from the brink of destruction.

(Reuters) – Federal officials have joined an investigation into the mysterious deaths of young harbor seals on beaches across three New England states as the number of dead seals rose to 49.

Seals began washing up on the beaches of northern Massachusetts, New Hampshire and southern Maine last week, said Maggie Mooney-Seus, a spokeswoman for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s office in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

“Some of them have been decomposed,” she told Reuters on Wednesday. “We’re hoping we’re not going to see a lot more. We don’t know at this point what’s caused it.”

The densest cluster of seal deaths has been along New Hampshire’s 18-mile (30-km) coast, where 17 seal carcasses have been recovered since Friday, said Tony Lacasse, a spokesman for the New England Aquarium in Boston.

The aquarium has conducted autopsies on three of the least-decomposed seals and found that they all had an adequate layer of blubber to survive.

That suggests the young seals did not die because of a failure to develop hunting skills, which causes the natural deaths of about 30 percent of harbor seals after they are weaned from their mother, Lecasse said.

“The results were a little surprising to us,” Lecasse said. “We’re doing tissue sampling and have sent those out to labs across the country.”

Results are expected next week, and could indicate whether seals died because of disease, toxins or another cause, he said.

Ariz. dust storms ‘looked like a war zone’; 1 dead

Jeremiah 13:24 “I will scatter you like drifting chaff before the desert wind.”

Image: Arizona Department of Public Safety Officers and other emergency personnel make their way around a 16-car crashA blinding dust storm rolled across the Arizona desert Tuesday, causing three pileups involving dozens of vehicles on a major interstate. One man was killed and at least 15 other people were injured, authorities said.

The first two crashes occurred just after noon as a dust storm suddenly covered Interstate 10 near Picacho, about midway between Phoenix and Tucson. Those collisions involved 16 vehicles and led to the fatality.

News footage showed dust roiling over dozens of cars, tractor-trailers and ambulances pulled over or strewn about the highway. Authorities were unable to transport injured motorists by helicopter because of the heavy dust.

“It looked like a war zone,” Patrick Calhoun, one of the first rescuers to responder to the scene, told The Associated Press. “This has been one of the worst pileups we’ve had on the I-10.”

Calhoun, with the Avra Valley Fire District, said the man who died was in the passenger seat of a car driven by a woman who appeared to be his wife. Their car had slammed into the back of a semi and was lodged underneath it, killing the man almost instantly and leaving the woman critically injured in a semiconscious state of shock.

Calhoun said it took 45 minutes to hook up winches to the vehicle, pull it out and then cut the woman out of the car to take her to a hospital.

A second vehicle also was lodged under a semi, Calhoun said, and two people were extricated in a similar manner before being taken to a hospital.

‘Zero visibility’

Blowing dust was a factor in both accidents agnd prevented a rescue helicopter from landing at either scene, Arizona public safety department spokesman Bart Graves told Reuters.

“Deputies reported zero visibility when they arrived at the scene. There’s still almost no visibility. The storm is just hovering around out there,” he added.

Arizona Department of Public Safety Officers and other emergency personnel make their way around a 16-car crash on Interstate 10 between Tucson and Phoenix Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011.

A third pileup occurred almost two hours later on I-10 just north of Casa Grande and involved eight vehicles. No one was killed in that collision; two people had serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Graves said.

Katie Maass, a spokeswoman at University Medical Center in Tucson, said the hospital was treating 12 patients involved in the collisions. Three were listed as critical and the other nine were in serious condition.

Authorities closed the interstate for most of the afternoon. They reopened the eastbound lanes around 5:45 p.m., and Graves said just before 10 p.m. that officials had reopened all westbound lanes but one.

Wind gusts

Dust storms are common across Arizona during dry and windy conditions, and walls of dust more than a mile high can blanket an area in a matter of seconds, sometimes reducing visibility to zero.

Winds from the southwest were gusting at up to 40 mph throughout Arizona on Tuesday, said Jessica Nolte, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

“These winds have accumulated so much that when they move through the region they start to pick up the dry top soil,” she said. “It can be a very rapid development.”

The Phoenix area was enveloped in a beige haze for much of the day, obscuring the view of the mountains that surround the metropolitan area.

The winds should taper off Tuesday evening and into Wednesday, Nolte said. Another weather system was expected to move into Arizona on Thursday, and Nolte said it could generate gusts as strong as Tuesday’s.

The storms routinely plague the area near Picacho Peak, a state park in southern Arizona, said National Weather Service meteorologist Craig Shoemaker, who estimated sustained winds in the storm at 20 to 30 miles per hour, gusting up to 50 mph. – MSNBC

Thailand Hit by Worst Monsoon Flooding in Half a Century

October 5, 2011 Comments off

Yahweh is teaching that SHE IS MOTHER NATURE, and She can use it for good or evil – to end evil. Repayment of kind for kind. For those out of harmony, no harmony will be shown.

Soon, the seas will become to dangerous to navigate as not only nature plays its part in massive waves, but also trying to navigate the cesspool of death that will soon rise to the top and stagnate the waters with billions of rotting seas life.

FLOODING in central and northern Thailand blamed on unusually heavy monsoon rains and poor management of the country’s large dams has left at least 237 people dead.

Twenty-six of the 77 Thai provinces have been hit by floods this rainy season, affecting 2.6 million people.

On Wednesday, 400 families were forced to evacuate Bang Phrahan district in Ayutthaya province, 90km north of Bangkok, as the Chao Phraya River overflowed its banks.

Officials have been forced to release water from the two largest dams, Bhumibol and Sirikit, into the Ping and Nan rivers, which feed into the Chao Phraya.

“The problem is water management,” said Smith Dharmasaroja, head of the Natural Disaster Warning Foundation.

“We kept too much water in the dams early in the rainy season, and now at the end of the season, they have to release a large amount of water at the same time, which has caused floods.”

Thailand’s rainy season usually starts in May and ends in October.

Smith blamed the rains on a lengthy La Nina cycle, a weather phenomenon marked by heavy precipitation that typically follows an El Nino period of drought.

“This La Nina started early and was supposed to end six months ago, but it’s continued up to now,” Smith said. “It’s quite unusual.”

Northeastern Thailand can expect more rain this week from a low-pressure front left over from Typhoon Nalgae, National Disaster Prevention Centre Director Somsak Khaosuwai said on the department’s website.

Nalgae hit the Philippines over the weekend and moved on to Vietnam Wednesday. – Herald Sun
