US city turns to God for fiscal relief
NEW YORK: The debt-ridden capital of the state of Pennsylvania has tried every form of fiscal belt-tightening, from layoffs to furloughs to filing for bankruptcy . Now it is turning to God.
Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson said on Friday she will join religious leaders in three days of fasting and prayer to encourage “a cooperative spirit among government leaders, the business community and citizens.”
“I am open about my faith and will be participating in the voluntary prayer and fast,” Thompson said in a statement.
The city is now weighing a financial rescue plan presented by the state.
The fast and prayers, which will be facilitated by about a dozen Christian, Jewish, and Muslim religious leaders, will begin at midnight on June 21 and end on June 24.
On Monday, a team of state-appointed advisors recommended the city sell a deeply indebted incinerator at the root of its fiscal problems, renegotiate its labor agreements, cut jobs, sell other assets and assume $26 million in new borrowing.
Mankind is alienated from Yahweh. Those that are suffering and those that have suffered over the thousands of years since mankind sinned, and much of it from Mother’s own natural order of things, and from the sinful desires that mankind has rooted their twisted desires within, they are all on the wide spacious path that offers no protection from the evil effects of this world. Mankind became defiant to Mother’s counsel and warning to remain obedient, and death was the promise for not following through and obeying Her words. And now, like a deep bleeding wound that has festered and opened back up to disease and drains out the life of its victim, mankind is slowly dying from the sin that was warned against. When the wrath comes, it in itself will put those who remain defiant – out of their misery There is no future without Mother, and this world in general is without the care of our Mother. Just look at the weather now ravaging this planet. It is our Mother’s fury in action.
From the Book of Sirach, Chapter 17, Verses 19-21:
“But to the penitent He provides a way back,
He encourages those who are losing hope!
Return to the Lord and give up sin,
Pray to Him and make your offenses few.
Turn again to the Most High and away from sin….”
I understand that we are now under judgment from our Father Yahweh, but He has provided a way back to Him through His son, Jesus Yeshua Ha Messiach. Praise to Father Yahweh and His son Jesus Yeshua Ha Messiach for their mercy and kindness to us! Bless Their Names forever!
