Arctic Ice Melting Faster Than Previously Thought
STOCKHOLM — A new assessment of climate change in the Arctic shows the region’s ice and snow are melting faster than previously thought and sharply raises projections of global sea level rise this century.
The report by the international Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program, or AMAP, is one of the most comprehensive updates on climate change in the Arctic, and builds on a similar assessment in 2005.
The full report will be delivered to foreign ministers of the eight Arctic nations next week, but an executive summary including the key findings was obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday.
It says that Arctic temperatures in the past six years were the highest since measurements began in 1880, and that feedback mechanisms believed to accelerate warming in the climate system have now started kicking in.
It also shatters some of the forecasts made in 2007 by the U.N.’s expert panel on climate change.
The cover of sea ice on the Arctic Ocean, for example, is shrinking faster than projected by the U.N. panel. The level of summer ice coverage has been at or near record lows every year since 2001, AMAP said, predicting that the Arctic Ocean will be nearly ice free in summer within 30-40 years.
Genesis 1:6 “Then God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters, separating water from water.”
Instead of the nourishing canopy that kept this planet at a constant comfortable temperature, Michael brought about a climatic change. He separated the waters by freezing the excess waters at the poles. Then, by natural order the skies or lower heavens were free of the canopy so this brought forth seasons and created the weather that brings rain, sleet, hail, snow and unbearable heat to different parts of the world. Depending on where you live, you are affected by the various changes in the weather. However, at one time that was not the case. But the lifting of the canopy which had been a gift from Father originally, was because mankind was still not in full harmony with Father. To be in harmony brings forth the rebirth of that canopy. The melting of the glaciers resulting in the freeing of the division Michael created in the waters by having previously stored the excess water in the form of ice will lay the ground work for the next canopy to be put back into place.
Genesis 1:8 “God called the expanse “sky.” Evening came, and then morning: the second day.”
Father’s breath formed the polar caps, and Her anger is melting them. But out of Her anger a renovated earth will be the outcome. Father is making all things new. Father is also enlightening our minds with new things.
Isaiah 48:6 “You have heard it. Observe it all. Will you not acknowledge it? From now on I will announce new things to you, hidden things that you have not known.”
